Day 1 – Aisle Whispers

After officially settling into my seat from my pick up at Persona Theatre, I felt something hit the back of my foot and looked down to see a piece of folded up paper, picking it up and opening the folded paper to see the note ‘𝐃𝐨 𝐈 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐮’ rereading the words over and over again before realizing there was no sender on the original message left. Frozen like time had stopped, the words on the paper in front of my face began to fade away until eventually they were gone leaving an empty piece of paper in my hand. “That was strange…” I whispered to myself as I flipped the now empty paper in my hand, there was a heavy feeling wash over me, the need to respond to whoever had written this was a must so respond was what I ended up doing. Grabbing a pen, I wrote back to this mysterious person who had left a note to me under my seat.

All the memories I have gained with you, I hold near to my heart and nothing could ever take away from me. its strange to me, as I look back on all the memories and experience, seeing how far I’ve come from the boy I used to be. Waiting for new comeback videos from Bangtan, rewatching music videos over and over, annoying my friends who don’t particularly like kpop (who am I kidding I still do this, that would never change) It’s almost like they shapped me into the person I am today, we grew up together and that’s the beautiful thing.

I still finding out that the group was splitting, I got the notification while sitting at my dining room table and full on cried, but the of Bangtan and you were my reminder that the best was yet to come. Now even now, I watch the music video, I listen to the music, and I annoy everyone around me. I managed to even recruit baby armys!

I can’t wait to make more memories in these next years to come. Borahae :purple_heart:

Day 2 － Route: Reminiscence

Ah, Annyeong! You’re back so soon? What was that? Oh, you want to know what it was like when I was a baby army? Okay, but fair warning I was a little bit chaotic back then. Do you have a snack? No? Oh that’s okay here you go you can chose one of mine because Baby Army Taehyung was a lot.

Life when I was a baby ARMY, was easier on so many levels. I the day BTS debuted vividly, the day that I found them. Which is hard to believe for a lot of people because they never actually believe that there can be fans that have been here since the beginning. I once had someone tell me that being a fan since the beginning was impossible because Bangtan Sonyeondan didn’t have fans in 2013, which is obviously not true. That’s not what you asked for though, you wanted baby ARMY Taehyung. As a baby ARMY, who was still figuring out how to go about life, the day I found them and basically fell in love was their band debut trailer. I vividly falling in love with them during their 2 Kool 4 Skool Era and deciding right then and there these boy were going to be my new favorites, I have been here since.

As fan chants were introduced I found myself learning them and repeating them even when there wasn’t a reason. “Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Ji-min, Kim Tae-hyung, Jeon Jeong-guk, BTS” became a vocal stim and it became muscle memory when I heard them on the radio I would say the fan chants, learning their names became easier with them introducing themselves and then the addition of fan chants but like every ARMY I have had some funny little moments as well. I’m sure all the older ARMYs an app called V Live (I don’t have the app anymore and it’s a constant sad moment for me), well me in 2015 being a fan of BTS since 2013, was dead set on believing that Kim Taehyung (my name twin by the way which is another reason I fell in love with Bangtan, seeing someone with my name be so relatable and be just like me sent little me into a spiral lol) or well, V, had owned V live and that he was being so nice letting these other idols use his app. I also younger me being so jealous of the of BTS because they got to be around Namjoon all day (he was my first bias) but thankfully I soon grew out of that and when I see baby armys doing the exact same thing now I just shake my head because if I tell them to stop, that would be hypocritical of me seeing as I did the same thing. Little me would be out with my mom and see anything that looked related to BTS and scream (and I mean scream) about the reference and point it out

Baby ARMY Tae was quite the hand full but I wouldn’t be who I am today if I hadn’t have let him have his moment to shine. I am honestly a little disappointed in my Baby ARMY self for being so delusional sometimes.

A very special shoutout to 10 year old Taehyung for stealing his iPad from his mom that June 13th in 2013 regardless of the fact he was grounded and going on YouTube because you really unlocked a whole new world for me by doing so. Day 2: Bonus – Seat Shuffle :bus: :bust_in_silhouette:

For my seat shuffle I chose suitcase

What I gave: Two Kim Namjoon Gif themes, made specially for him. Both are slightly complex gif themes because I enjoy the concept of making themes for the people around me. I really hope he enjoys the themes. He seemed like he like could use them.

Why I Gave: He was my best friend before anything else and allowed me to talk his ear off about BTS. One of the baby army I was able to bring into the fandom while the boys were away serving in more ways than just making the entire kpop realm panicked and now the western artists with them coming back. He allowed me to be myself in a world where I was judged. Also he was the one who left me the note yesterday and he gave me a theme as well. Which it’s stunning thank you

I didn’t stop there however! I did another shuffle and for this one I chose suitcase

What I gave: Two Jimin Black Swan gif themes! I overheard that their favorite song was Black Swan from a few other engers and they’re sitting in the Jimin section! I decided to try and make their day with these two themes

Day 4 － You Never Walk Alone

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞? : Combined Mood board featuring our bias’ and our own aesthetics.

Whether by fate or by coincidence, we ended up seat partners. Joon with his causal laid back aesthetic and me with my luxurious academia aesthetic, we combined them to make the most beautiful visual art piece. Our aesthetics may be very different, and we may come from very different backgrounds and cultures, but the art of music brought us together and has been the glue that holds us to each other. What makes our relationship so special to me is the fact that to a stranger on the street, we seem to be mix matched like we don’t belong together. Joon is the equivalent to warm café’s on a rain day and random guitar riffs, while I seem to be the equivalent of candlelit libraries and late night jazz bar experiences but even with all of that our two words seemed to collide but not in a crash and burn kind of way, they collided in a way that makes artwork. They harmonized like BTS when they are on stage.

Music, primarily Kpop, seemed to take that line between us and blurred it, it was able to take what was different and make them similar. He is the rhythm of a song while I am the melody. Our personalities are similar is a little bit of ways as well but not like we are the same person, we just clicked. Sitting next to him on this bus ride so far has been an adventure, from the random TikTok videos to talking about our day to day lives. I could have asked for a better seat partner.

Day 4: Bonus – Loop Leaks

I was walking through the aisle to get back to my seat today when I stumbled upon a notebook left just laying in the middle of the aisle, there was no indication on the book telling me who it belonged to or where it belonged other than the words 𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍 written on the cover. I wasn’t originally going to open it but my curiosity ended up getting the best of me and I opened it anyways to find the sketches, confessions, letters, and rumors written by other engers but some of the pages were ripped out. As I flipped through the notebook, I noticed the last page was empty, so I got a pen and wrote down a quote not just any quote, this one :

I live by this quote in my day to day life, the philosophy behind this quote is something I could talk about all day but I’m not going to do that. I stumbled upon this quote in my high school days and it was also around this time when I was being told that I wasn’t going to amount to anything, hearing the words “I’m the oldest so I’m the one that’s right” one too many times, finding this quote opened my eyes to realize that everyone has their own ways of going about things and just because someone else doesn’t follow the same path doesn’t mean they’re wrong but it also doesn’t mean you’re right. The possibility of finding out if there is actually only one way of doing things is slim, because everyone is different and our experiences, paths, etc are all unique to us, they are designed for us individually and it’s up to us to follow our paths. This much like the world of law should remain unbiased, we should wear a blindfold like lady justice so that we may go through life not blinded by our own biases and egos. There’s no such thing as a single way to go about things, you go whichever direction you’re being pulled in

Day 5: Bonus - Who’s Next To Me?

I was seated patiently waiting for the bus to begin moving again after we finally got the bus to stop falling through time when someone sat next to me, glancing over to see who it was I was left in shock when my eyes land on the best leader in kpop history Kim Namjoon, I didn’t expect to speak to him because in reality, what am I to him? A fan? Some stranger he just sat next to on the bus heading towards the celebration of the band he helped get this far? Imagine my surprise when he looked at me and spoke first. I bowed my head politely “𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐲𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐲𝐨" was the first thing I officially said to him and from there the conversation grew into something I would’ve never imagined it growing into…

For the duration of the time that Namjoon was sat down in the seat next to me he and I talked about a multitude of different things from what museum is the best museum to visit, the best piece of artwork we had both seen in our lifetime (he asked me what my favorite art type was and I couldn’t really decide), philosophy, and he even let me talk about my love for photography which was fun. Sitting next to Namjoon during the ride was like sitting next to Albert Einstein in a seminar for a subject you were interested in but didn’t quite understand it yet, he took me a mini journey as he talked about all of the philosophical quotes that he lived by and even explained what they meant if I was confused (I didn’t have to verbally say it, he just knew). I think my favorite part about sitting next to Namjoon on this trip was the fact he listened to my classical and jazz playlist with me and let me explain to him exactly what each of the classical songs meant, because classical music wasn’t just noise all classical pieces had a meaning, you just had to big down and pay attention to find it.

Overall for Namjoon being the first BTS member that I biased, sitting next to him reminded me of what had pulled me towards him in the beginning, he isn’t just a leader but he’s a good friend, an amazing listener, and he has a huge heart. Even though I was bias wreaked in the end by Taehyung, Namjoon still holds a special place in my heart alongside the others because OT7 forever, even if I lean more towards Taehyung… because without all seven boys we wouldn’t have BTS… 7 makes a team.

When he left to go sit with another person for a little bit, I overheard a enger whispering that we were on the road again, or another one that whispered about the engine running again, and so I listened, listened for the sound of the engine and I was able to hear it, leaning my head back against the seat, I smiled softly. “𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞." I said to myself softly as I put my headphones back into my ears, the ones I had previously took out of my ears so I could see if I could hear the engine myself. We were back on track, the bus was fixed, and just in time too because the day for celebration was approaching us fast.
