welcome to my first album review ! all in the

spirit of aotm, I'm gonna make my first review

about kep1ers debut album "first impact".

I am NOT gonna take responsibility for any

spelling mistakes, English is NAWT my first

language and I don't plan on changing that.

the concept photoshoots ;;

before I'm gonna go into detail of the songs,

I wanna write about the concept photoshoots.

while I am a simple person and I like simple

designs, for a concept photoshoot the first

pictures of kep1er are a bit dull? Apart from

the survival show, this is the first look on all

of the . the pink version of the pics

are nice but overall fall flat in my opinion.

the outfits are simple, they are standing in

front of a simple background and well, their

poses also aren't that great. but, the colours

are at least nice to look at and aren't bright.

the second version, which is overall more

blue tinted, gives us a bit more to look at.

I am not gonna add every member but if

look up the pictures yourself: can one of

you explain some of the poses? and I'm not

talking about the sitting or laying.

overall, my favourite outfits of the bunch and

a good balance of main & side colours.

"I could be anywhere, I could be anyone"

indeed, kep1er, indeed. out of the three, this

one gives me the most 'concept photoshoot'

vibes. even though the second has the best

outfits, I like these more than the other two.

I'm a sucker for black & white outfits and the

one their wearing don't make them look like

they're in formal clothes but also don't look

like ordinary outfits. overall, definitely concept

shoot material (in comparisons to the first).

the songs ;;

O1 — see the light⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

a good intro song to the album. I was a bit

surprised at first, because I didn't expect

there to be an intro song but it's a no skip

song. overall, 3/5 points because I don't

like talking in a song.

O2 — wa da da⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

the most iconic kep1er song, I think. I don't

know any kpop fan who hasn't heard this

song, or at least re it. definitely the

song that made me check out the album.

I can't speak on the choreo because I don't

really watch stages, but I know that the

choreo for this song specifically reminded

of their space-esc concept (at least, I think

that that's what they're going for :rabbit: ). overall,

a solid 5/5 because, well, it's a banger debut.

O3 — mvsk⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

the song that surprised me the most. I have

to be honest, I only really listened to wa da da

and shine before and only sat down to listen

to the whole album after starting this blog. but

I definitely like this one a lot. while it won't top

wa da da in my opinion, it's still a great A+.

O4 — shine (kep1er vers.)⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀

I think this is the second time I actually liked a

cover of a song more than the original. apart

from ateez "black cat nero", shine (original

artist pentagon) is one of the songs that I am

pretty sure I would've never guessed was not

their own song. it is not one of my faves, but

similar to the other songs in this album I dont

think I would skip it if it came on randomly.

overall, 4/5. I don't know why the one point is

not there but it feels wrong to give it a full 5.

O5 — another dream (kep1er vers.)⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

even though I don't understand korean (to my

best tries, it still doesn't work) I get goosebumps

whenever I listen to this song. I haven't been

an active watcher for girls planet 999 so I don't

know the full impact of the song, but it feels like

it belongs in a movie about someone moving on.

vibes are big with this one, 5/5.

O6 — o.o.o. (over&over&over) (kep1er vers.)

similar to the last one, I haven't watched any

episode of girls planet 999. while this one has

a completely different vibe, it feels like it could

be part of the same movie? like one song is

about moving on and this one is about con-

fronting the problem head on (I have to add that

I usually read the lyrics in English to get a feeling

for the song but for this album, I still have not

done that. maybe one day. work is stressful :( )

overall, not a song I would seek out but also

one I wouldn't skip, 4/5.

this was my first review! I hope my typos

weren't too bad, I did try. I'll work myself

through kep1ers albums from oldest to most

recent so there's definitely gonna be a few
