Nonbinary lesbian is a nonbinary person who has connection to womanhood and is exclusively attracted to women, woman-aligned and unaligned nonbinary people (who have a connection to womanhood).

Nonbinary lesbians can experience womanhood:

— either as a part of their nonbinary gender (nonbinary women, woman-aligned, demigirls, genderfluid)

— or they're disconnected from gender (agender, neutrois, non-aligned/unaligned) and the only connection to womanhood is their lesbianism (their attraction to women is gay).

Disconnect from traditional womanhood and having complicated relationship with gender aren't uncommon among lesbians, especially those that are gender non-conforming.

Some lesbians might consider butch, femme or lesbian a term that not only describes their sexuality but their gender identity as well.

Other lesbians feel like they are women because they are lesbian and not the other way around.

This does not necessarily have to be a nonbinary experience, but a number of lesbians who relate to these experiences do additionally identify as nonbinary as well.

Obviously, men, man-aligned nb people or nb people who experience manhood to any degree at any time cannot be lesbian, as lesbianism is an identity that inherently excludes men.

Unaligned nonbinary people who don't experience any connection to womanhood at all (not even through loving women) are also not lesbian.

Same goes for any other nonbinary person who does not feel comfortable labeling their attraction to women as lesbian regardless of their alignment or gender identity.
