So i just got both final fantasy 7 and final fantasy 9 because they were both on sale and i was interested in them. But i never played a final fantasy game so i wondered which one i should play first (as a newcomer). And if this changes anything, i want to go into these games completely blind so if that affects some stuff, there.

Final Fantasy IX or X, you can't go wrong with these two.
FF7 is quite overrated, people only pick that game because it's most popular.
Theyre both good. I recommend 9 first. Its a bit prettier to look at and easier to follow. If you get the chance, play 10 though.

I prefer 9 alot more and as a introduction its the least complicated when building your characters and with it. I find 9 is a lot easier to get into and
