Ritual and Cultural Use:
Damiana (turnera aphrodiaca) was used by the Aztecs for impotency. Mexican women were also known to use its fragrant leaves in a tea to stimulate intimacy.
Effects:
The leaves of the Damiana are smoked for an alternative "happy high". Damiana can also be made into a tea which can affect the psyche, producing a mild euphoria that can last for up to one and a half hours. A cup of Damiana tea before bed relaxes the body, promotes pleasant dreams and stimulates the body for intimacy. It is also known to heighten 3D effect and colour appreciation.

One teaspoon of Damiana herb in a pot of hot water makes a fragrant, pleasant tasting tea that can be used for aiding medicinal work.
