He's definitely more of a do it alone kind of Pokemon, and that's for a reason... time and time again he's backstabbed by pokemon who he thinks are his friends... most recent instance being his once Gf... Aqua

he isn't much of a powerhouse, but he makes up for that with skill

most of the time he knows how to neutralize a target.. (even if he ends up fainting/killing them instead by complete accident)

don't expect to befriend him very easily
