PSA: Updated Guidelines Effective Immediately!

We are pleased to inform you that our Community Guidelines have been updated. These updates were developed with consideration of , ethics, and community behavior.

Change of wording: While English remains our primary language, are now encouraged to include translations when using other languages to foster inclusivity and accessibility.

Any content that is not your own must be properly credited—regardless of your intent to claim it. This applies especially to visual art, graphics, and written explanations.

Cursing must never be directed at another member. Violations may result in removal or disciplinary action.

Change of wording: Using secondary s to by strikes or bans is strictly prohibited and will result in the banning of all associated s.

The “three sentences" and "three paragraphs” rules for blog posts and update posts have been redefined. Posts must now be substantial in content, not just long in appearance. Quality matters more than word count. However, posts should aim for at least three well-developed sentences per paragraph and a minimum of one to two paragraphs, depending on the topic and format, in order to ensure quality of the post.

s may now disable posts that are outdated, no longer relevant, or extremely low effort. “Low effort” constitutes of posts that do not follow the rules of min. three sentences and paragraph or the two-three paragraphs for update content (see above).

You are now not allowed to post more than 2–3 main feed posts per day unless part of an official event. Please consider spacing your posts to avoid overwhelming others’ feeds.

Contrary to past confusion: homework help is allowed—but NOT in blogs, wiki, polls and quizzes. It is allowed only in a designated chat for it and only when you explain the specific concepts you don’t understand. Simply pasting questions will result in removal. Please check our designated Homework Help Chat where these questions should be posted.

Posts with images (e.g., study notes, diagrams) must include context and captions.

This is an entirely new section that we added to the guidelines. It is more of a guide to proper behaviour for specific things you might do. We have added a recommendation on criticism and the use of English language.

These updated guidelines are now in force. We will be implementing and enforcing all changes as stated. We encourage you to review the full updated guidelines and reach out if they have questions.
