Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Today was a day I used to hate when I was single, I would either hide for the day or go to Anti-Valentine's parties! So as you can guess I'm still not a big fan, I like to have a nice dinner at home but I refuse to be victim of the commercialisation of the holiday and purchase presents/flowers/go out :stuck_out_tongue:
So this was our dinner tonight. Main course was seitan roast with my first ever Hasselback potatoes! I love the way they look

For dessert I made some chocolate-dipped strawberries and with the left over chocolate some almond clusters and chocolate covered dried fruit.

To make the chocolate mixture I used a dark chocolate bar chopped into pieces, virgin coconut oil and soya cream. I microwaved the chocolate until melted and then added by eye the other ingredients to make it creamy and shiny.

Love all of it! Glad you had a nice Valentines Day ♡ Do you have a potato recipe on here somewhere? It looks like it might take a while to cut them like that (?), but so yummy.
There is a link embedded in the text that takes you to the recipe  I know what you mean, this is exactly the reason why I hadn't attempted them until now but they were actually much faster to cut than I expected :grinning:
Looks great!! Love those decorations on the strawberries!!
Thanks Del, I used to have a large variety of decorations but after reading the ingredients and throwing away all the non vegan ones, that's pretty much what I'm left with :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Ohhh I would also like to be your Valentine if I get all that good food to eat :heart_eyes_cat: :heart_eyes_cat: :heart_eyes_cat: :satisfied: :satisfied: :satisfied: :satisfied: I hope I can learn all that from you, that maybe speeds up finding a husband finally :see_no_evil: I seem to do all wrong, sometimes I dont know anymore how and what to do better :flushed: I just want to make the right decisions, to be someone I would respect, someone I would trust. Sometimes life seems like a labyrinth :confounded:
Hahaha, when we finally meet I'll make you this and more :grinning: There'll be food for days!
Life is definitely a labyrinth, sometimes we get a right turn and get lucky thankfully! I'm sure you'll find someone that has all the qualities you're looking for and will love you and respect you for exactly the person you are. It will happen when you least expect it (this is what my friends always used to tell me and I wouldn't believe them, but guess what, it did happen when I least expected it! Funny how life works out)
