There was a time when I could honestly say that I loved you. I could look into your eyes and envision a future together, where I could hold you in my arms and feel at home.

That was years ago. I never anticipated to fall out of love with you. I thought I would spend my life by your side and build a family with you. How could I have known it would end this way? How could I have stayed in love with you? How can I change the past?

How? How? How?

Time is like a string that can go in any direction. How did I choose the path that led to this ending with you?

I can still the day we met under that olive tree. The sunlight filtered through the leaves, making your blonde hair shine like gold. I can picture the way your eyes sparkled with happiness when I gave you that stuffed cat. I can still hear your laughter ringing like bells. I can feel your hands in my hair when I close my eyes, ing how you smelled like cherry blossoms and lavender. Those scents brought me joy when I was feeling low. You were my light, my happiness, my hope.

You meant everything to me. How could you leave me? How could you discard this relationship like a pair of shoes you no longer wear? I loved you. I loved you so much that I would have done anything for you. I would have moved mountains and gone to hell for you. You mean everything to me.
