Heyoo and welcome to my blog :wave: today I will this super cute and soft challenge because I think it is really nice to show off your country and 'promote' it and other people can learn something new. And also, I picked jungkook as my idol that I would show around my country because in previous blog I said how I want to make a bts blog since they are group that got me into kpop and I still haven't made a proper bts blog so here I am with jungkook lol

so, for the first day I would like to take jungkook in capital city called "Zagreb". I really like this city because 1. I was born there (but I don't live there) 2. people talk with really cool accent (we have 3 accents; štokavian, kajkavian and čakavian ,, in Zagreb they speak on kajkavian) and 3. it is really pretty. A year and some months ago Zagreb had an earthquake that really destroyed the city so maybe it is not pretty now but one day it will shine like the most beautiful star in the sky. I would like to show him a theater which I really like. I was there so many times and I had a lot of good experience + it is really nice in there. Zagreb just it self is a really open city. In 2018 Croatia was second on football world cup so I would like to show him our football stadium called "Maksimir", it is really big and pretty + it have our nation colors. Croatian people really does love sport so we celebrate that place for like whole week I think and I think there are some pictures of it so that's why I would show him that and this is pretty much for the first day.

For second day I would take him in the city called "Baška" on the island called "Krk". Since Croatian sea citys were many years under Italy a lot of people can speak Italian and mostly in Baška people would greet you with "Ciao" so you would feel like you are in Italy haha. There are a lot of restaurants (literally they are next to each other due the end of a street which is really long) and they have really amazing food. At the end of a day there are so many romantic places where you can watch sunset and just enjoy it. You actually would feel really happy there. Houses are really pretty because they are made of stone and literally every house is full with flowers and it feels like you are in heaven.

On third day I would take jungkook in "Split". I literally grew up there because until I was 7 years old we would every year go there because it is really, really, really pretty and big and everything there is perfect. There are a lot of buildings made of stone and people there are soooo nice. I just love this city. Split has a lot of palaces from the time when Italy was in this area, so it has my favorite Diocletian, which you can see in the picture.

After Split we will go in "Zadar". Zadar is known as basketball city. A lot famous basketball players are from Zadar and they play in NBA hihi. Zadar is known as city with a lot basketball stadiums. I've been in one of them and it was HUGE and pretty ,, I know I say for everything that is pretty because it is !! I personally never visited Zadar as for a vacation, I only go there for sport competitions so I never had a chance to explore it and it is on my bucket list but obviously it is pretty

On fourth day we would go in "Sinj". I never been there but a manifestation that comes from there is really special for me because ahhh I don't know how to describe it. There is a thing called "Sinjska alka" (I did not find an english translation but I will put a video to make it a bit clear). This is a video and now I will explain what they do there. So, a man rides a horse towards one thing and shoots it with a spear. This thing is called "alka" and has 4 fields (there are the most points in the middle) now you most likely think it’s easy but still it’s not. The horse must have a certain speed and not a single piece of the costume must fall off it. When 'alkar' (a man riding a horse) hits in the middle he wins 3 points, and guns sound on the hill and loud music starts playing (only if he hit in the middle). I always watch it on TV and personally, it is better to watch it on TV because you can clearly see how much points did a man got. This year it will be 306. time for it to be on (we just have to see what to do with corona) and this year I am really excited because my family have a friend there and he said he will prepare a lot to be the winner. Also, you have to be born in Sinj to have a ticket for being on this

For the last day, we would go in my hometown called "Đakovo". I had so many good memories from this city so firstly I would take jungkook in St. Peter's Cathedral. It is the highest building in my town and not so long time ago it got some renovation but it always was pretty for me. After that we would go on hippodrome. I don't know how but apparently we have the most beautiful horses in our country and they are called "Lipicanci". They are so cute and soft and you just want to spend your whole day with them. I forgot to mention that I would like jungkook to come in my country in summer because in summer we have a 'festival' called "Đakovo embroideries" (I am not so sure if you translate it like that) but then a huge number of people come here to see various national costumes from various states and regions and you are out whole day with your friends since mostly in that time are summer holidays. It is really pretty because then come and the president and premier to watch it so yes, it is really special and well known in Croatia just like alka

Croatian food I would like to show to jungkook

1.

Zagorski štrukli

The traditional specialty of Hrvatsko Zagorje, Zagorje štruklji or štruklji were prepared in every household from ingredients that were easily available to housewives. In order to protect Zagorje štruklji as an autochthonous Croatian dish, the art of their preparation is entered in the of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Croatia. Dumplings can be prepared in two ways, by cooking and baking, but also as a salty and sweet dish. The dough stuffed with cow's cheese is used in both methods, but while cooked štruklji in salted water can be topped with melted fat and sprinkled with toasted bread crumbs or served in a fragrant soup, the baked štruklji are topped with cream before cooking. Delicious štruklji will delight all generations, and whatever method of preparation you choose, you won't go wrong!

Dubrovački šporki makaruli

Dubrovnik šporki makaruli is a delicious pasta with meat sauce that was often prepared on the eve of the Feast of St. Vlaho, protector of the city of Dubrovnik. It dates back to the time when the best pieces of meat from the delicious sauce were reserved for of the Dubrovnik aristocracy, while the last plates of so-called macaroni would be given to their faithful servants for their meal. The meat sauce served with homemade macaroni was based on beef or veal, depending on what was available at the time. Meatless macaroni, which were covered only with sauce, was said to be stained, or "sported", and this traditional dish owes its specific name to this expression.

Zagrebački odrezak

One of the most famous dishes of the cuisine of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, is a Zagreb steak that owes its popularity among citizens to a delicious combination of ingredients, textures and flavors. The Zagreb steak is actually a breaded veal steak stuffed with ham and melted cheese and is a more sumptuous version of the famous Viennese dish Wiener Schnitzel. Although it is now prepared from other types of meat, such as pork, turkey or chicken, veal is considered a basic ingredient in this traditional recipe. In restaurants, Zagreb steak is served with a slice of lemon, whose acid goes well with breaded meat, and the most common side dishes are french fries or "rizi-bizi", cooked rice with the addition of peas.

Čobanac

After a hard day in the field, pasture or in the woods, nothing feeds the body and soul better than a warm and tasty shepherd's pie, a Slavonian soup dish prepared in a cauldron or a large pot. It is considered a dish from Slavonian pastures, and it was prepared by shepherds, ie shepherds as a rich and nutritious meat meal that would be slowly simmered on the fire for several hours. Several types of meat are most often hidden in the shepherd's pie, among which pork and beef predominate, and game or lamb meat is also added. One of the main features of this dish is certainly its spiciness, for which, in addition to ground red pepper, dried hot peppers are added. Part of the charm of this specialty is the long preparation and gathering around an open fire and a kettle from which to smoke, while the space around the fire is filled with the smells of spices and fried meat.
