tutorial; adding psd coloring

hey y’all!

today, i’ll be showing y’all how to add psd colorings to your photos/gifs^^

this of for any editor out there who would like to learn or for anyone who would like to add some more ‘aesthetic’ to something lol

note! i’m doing this on an iphone, and even though it’s basically the same, here’s a yt tutorial from an android : :two_hearts: :sunflower:

what is psd coloring?

(this is from my knowledge! correct me if i’m wrong!)

psd is a layered file for adobe photoshop which allows you to work with individual layers after being saved.

the coloring part is basically adding filters to your photo/gif. the coloring comes from the psd layers.

this is probably off but whatever jdjdjd I’m trying to sound smart :sleepy:

what you’ll need:

          ≡deviantart

          ≡izip

          ≡photopea

technically, there’s different alternatives for deviantart and izip, but to make things simple, i’d go by these :)

deviantart: to find/ psd coloring

izip: to save it in a file/unzip file(?)

photopea: to apply coloring. if you’ve ever used photoshop, the functions are similar, but way simpler🤗

ing and saving the psd coloring:

1. look up ‘psd coloring’ on your phone browser and find one that you like.

i would go into images in google, find one, then go to the website (which will most likely be deviantart)

if you already have the deviantart app on your phone, then just look it up there :)

the one I’m using for this tutorial is phone down by cobrasnakedits

2. hit the button>>continue to >>open in izip

if for the second image ^ it doesn’t say ‘open in izip’, then click on ‘more...’ and then find the izip app

3. once you click ‘open in izip’, it’ll open up the app and this is what’ll come up:

all you have to do is hit cancel :)

putting the psd coloring on:

1. go to your phone browser and search up Photopea.com

2. once you’re at the website, click on ‘open from computer’

through this, you’ll choose your photo/gif from your phone gallery

3. next, you’ll be getting the psd file

click on ‘file’ at the top left corner

after, click ‘open’ then browse (i’m pretty sure it’s ‘documents’ on android)

:sparkles: make sure to not click ‘open & place’ instead of ‘open’! (when i first learned how to do this, i struggled cuz i’m blind :sleepy: )

4. open up the izip folder, then find your psd in it and click on it.

if this is your first time using izip, then it’ll likely be the only file there. if you have many files and can’t find it, type in ‘psd’ in the search bar :)

5. after you click on the file, it’ll take you back to the website. click on the psd page, then click on layer>>duplicate into...

6. from the left pic :point_down: , you’ll see that this dialogue box pops up.

click on the drop down button.

then, switch from the psd layer to the one with different letters and numbers and click done/ok!

7. click on the photo page to see if it ended up looking good!

exporting and saving

1. click on file at the top left corner (same place where you clicked to get the psd), then click on export as>>png/gif

click on either depending on what it is

2. hit save and it’ll bring you to a new tab.

save how you normally will. (in my case: more...>save image)
