i've been trying to write a winner blog ever since i crowned them my ultimate bias group and i do have one in drafts that's just taking me too damn long for some reason.

but i have the need to write

something

since their comeback is right behind the corner, so you're getting this.... uh, thing, where i just write stuff about them without any kind of plan.

those who've been following me for a while might know that this was a process that lasted a long ass time before my dumb self realized they are That One Group :tm: .

i knew about them for a very long time before i even got into them, but - get this - i found their music boring.

when they came back last year with 'really really' and 'fool', i thought about giving them another chance which ended in me falling straight on my face for them. i got so obsessed with their comeback as well as their older stuff and got angry at my slightly younger self for being so oblivious when quality art was thrown in front of her

basically, after that i was falling more and more in love with them and around the time they were preparing for their summer comeback i started being like:

"i have this weird feeling about these guys"

"oh shit, is this what being wrecked means?? are they trying to mess up my goddamn bias list that hasn't been touched eveR SINCE THE BEGINNING?!"

around the beginning of september, i dropped my previous ub group, but i didn't say winner are my new ub because i wanted tO Be sURe. so until the end of january i didn't have an ub group and i was overthinking every single thing about it.

just so in the end i did actually decide they were the ones i care about the most with all my black cold heart.

to be honest, this isn't one of those situations when people don't choose a bias because they think in their bias group they should all be equally important to them.

it's just been this way ever since i first got into them.

i. just. can't. choose.

mino was low key a bias for a while before i even knew the group, but was obsessed with mobb. though when i actually learned about them, they all attacked me like i'm a little helpless deer.

they are all precious. i love them all.

i can't and probably won't ever choose just one of them.

where do i even start?

first of all, i need to address their

music

i've talked about this many times and i'm gonna have to be annoying once again.

they have some serious bops. 'island' was, for example, on repeat the entire summer. but it's mostly their ballads or simply slower paced songs that always hit me right in the feels - rip my heart out and leave me sobbing on the floor.

they just fit so well the late night vibe when you sit somewhere in the darkness and that's honestly one of my favorite things in the world.

they don't make me feel happy in a normal way. they make me happy because i feel sad when i listen to them. and it's such a special feeling to me because it creates the weirdest mix of emotions i can get

and the other most important thing about this group is its

➴ he as a person needs more love and not just his looks

➴ he is a really pretty dude though

➴ don't underestimate him - he may look small and fragile, but he's got shit under control

➴ at least some of the time... he's mostly just a lost boy

➴ works so hard to get better

➴ has a really dumb laugh that i absolutely adore

➴ and the sweetest freaking smile

➴ seems pretty chill about life and like he tries his best to use it to the max and i really like that

he may not be apart of the group anymore, but he's doing so many amazing things.

his band released a brilliant album so far with a bunch of great songs that probably show his true colors much better.

i'm so proud of him and can't wait to see him grow as an artist

i'm terrible when it comes to expressing love (i'm unfortunately much better at ranting about things i don't like) so i'll try my best to find words that explain it well.

cheese alert!!

here's the thing

every now and then i'll get in a really sucky mood when i feel kinda empty and tired and like nothing really makes me happy or anything.

these guys always manage to change that, whether they make me sad or happy - it's enough that they create some kind of emotion.

at first i got so attached to the music. i didn't just love it - i NEEDED it in my life. it was literally like a drug that i wanted to take in every single day.

and slowly over time that love spread to the people who gave me the music. as people they mean a lot to me, no doubt, but that wasn't caused by how dorky or sweet they all are because a lot of idols are like that. it was more of a connection with them over music itself.

they make me sad, but in a good way.

they give me that weird mix of emotions that i rarely feel which makes it special.

they put a smile on my face.

they give me a safe feeling knowing i can always count on them when it's needed
