Gates to a broken future Chapter 7: Sky high

"Ugh.. Osha..." Ember groaned

"Come on.. It'll be fun..." Osha smiled, finally removing the smug look on his face

"How are we even Supposed to get to where Rayquaza is?.." Ember tilts her head

"Some sort of path is through this forest.." Osha looked around and jumped onto a vine that was on an incline. "Huh?.. Osha?.. What are you doing.." Ember started to step back..

"Hey it's fine.. Just ride the vines!" Osha rode down the vine, slowly getting faster with each incline he went down. "..." Ember just watched before running after him.

She kept running until she saw something in the distance. "Huh?..." She stopped.. Realizing what it was... "Osha! Stop! It's not safe up ahead!" Ember started to run after Osha.

"Huh? These forests are fine.. No one has touched them ye-huh..." Osha fell off of the vine, getting up and seeing... The rest of the forest had been destroyed.... Nearly nothing was left but signs that Palkia was there.. "Is this.." Ember looked around.. Seeing shell fragments.. "It is..." Osha looked shocked. "It's where Sprout's final battle happened..." Ember looked to see holes in the ground and plenty of Claw engravings in the trees that were left.. "He must've fought for his life..."

"And yet.. He lost.." Osha looked down.. The duo was in shock... They soon sighed and ran off...

Meanwhile..

"What!? Rose.. I get you want to avenge your father's death but.. Killing Palkia isn't how you should do that!" Aqua was in shock

"It's what he would want.." Rose snarled a bit. "Rose.. Not everything your father did was good.. Me and Leaf have seen him at his worst.. Which is why we don't see him as the legend everyone else sees him as!" Aqua immediately ducks as Rose tried to punch him. "My point has been proven... If you really become this generation's Sprout.. History will just repeat itself..." Aqua sighed. "You have the same kind of rage your father has... Rage that... If not managed... Could cause the pokemon you love.. To perish..."

Rose froze in shock as Aqua said this. "Have you even though about what might happen if you do kill Palkia?.. He's the literal god of space.. The who universe could fall apart if he's killed! Think Rose! Think! Do you really want to do what your father wanted and potentially destroy the Universe as we know it!?"

Rose sighed. "What if Palkia goes after me next?.. He clearly wanted his legacy gone.."

Rose got up. "Rayquaza knows of Palkia's whereabouts.. So.. I'm off.. Don't even try to stop me.." Rose ran off. ".... This.. Won't end well.." Aqua sighed.

Sky tower

Rose ran through, blowing other pokemon away, determined to get to Rayquaza.. (This is exactly what he'd want!) Rose continued blasting through, her legs becoming nothing but a blur as she left a trail of water.

She continued running until she heard screaming. "Huh?.." She sighed and kept running.

Once she reached the top.. She was met with the sight of Rayquaza fighting Osha and Ember.. (Wha.. But... Grrr..) She jumped up and ran up Rayquaza's body, jumping up and using body slam on his head. "Enough!" Rose sighed and gets up.

"Who do you think you are!? Running in and striking me?.. You won't leave here alive!"

Rose face palms "can you quit the act?-" Rose immediately ducks as Rayquaza fired a purple beam.

"Uh.. Aren't his beams supposed to be green?.." Osha tilts his head as Rayquaza's eyes turned purple. "Rose! It all ends here!"

"And I was right about Palkia wanting me dead.." Rose sighed as purple clouds surround the area.. Striking lightning.. "Here we go.." Rose sighed and ran up Rayquaza again.. This time jumping and punching him in the jaw.

"Gah!"

Rose sighed and grabbed Ember and Osha before running out.. "Huh!?! We're fleeing!?" "Yes! I can't take on Rayquaza!" Rose kept running until reaching a ledge. "Hm.." Rose looked down to see a lake below. "Hm...." Rose looked at Osha and Ember. "Hm.. Worth a shot.." Rose knocked Osha off before grabbing Ember and jumping off.

"WHA! ROSE!? ARE YOU TRYING TO FINISH US OFF!?" Osha screamed

"Look down! You'll be fine! ...not sure about Ember.." Rose sighed

"What!?" Ember froze in shock. (Is this really it?..)

Ember looked down to see a tree nearby. (... No.. I'm not going out like this..) Ember started to move away from the group

"Huh!? Ember!?" Osha looked confused.

"I suggest you look away Osha.. She's either trying to have a quicker death or wants us to see her splatter on the ground.." Rose sighed "what!?" Osha froze in horror.

Rose seemed to have the same mindset as her father..

"Hm..." Ember watched as the others landed in the lake and she landed in the tree, landing with a bit of damage. "Urf- " Ember gets up before seeing Osha run out and hug her. "Ember! I thought you were a goner!"

Rose chuckles. "Heh guess you knew what you were doing.." Rose started to look around. "Uh.. Is she ok?.." Osha looked concerned. "I.. Don't know.." She seems to be.. Not like herself.." Ember looked confused.

"Hm.. I may have a clue on where Palkia is.. But you two can't come along.." Rose immediately ran off. "....should we go after her?.." Osha looked at Ember. "... I know if I say no you'll force us to so.. You know what?.." Ember grabbed Osha by his ear and started to drag him back to the guild. "We're not going after her.."
