Cincinnati Reds outfielder Shogo Akiyama will be out a few weeks with a hamstring injury according to Reds manager David Bell, and will miss the start of the season. Akiyama, 32, left yesterday's Spring Training game with the injury. Akiyama is entering his sophomore season with the club, and had made some adjustments to his swing after a poor offensive season. On the other side, Akiyama was a Gold Glove finalist with his excellent glove work, tying for the lead in OAA among Reds last season. Akiyama will begin the regular season on the injured list.
